Brian is currently on the Board of United Pickleball Association, holding company of Major League Pickleball and the PPA Tour, the world's top professional pickleball league & individual tour. He previously served for 8 months as the first CEO of Major League Pickleball. He is also a co-founder of Boca Paddle Club, a 100,000 square foot, 25-court indoor pickleball/padel club to be located in east Boca Raton, and serves as an advisory board member of City Pickle, one of the top pickleball facility operators in the country (including Boca Paddle). Brian is an avid pickleball player, and is a member of the 2024 National Pickleball League Champion Boca Raton Picklers. He is co-captain of the Maccabi USA Pickleball team, and also serves on the board of the philanthropy Pickleball Cares.
In his prior career, Brian spent 25 years at Goldman Sachs & Co, including 13 years as a Partner; he most recently served as co-head of Global Equities Trading and Execution Services. He was responsible for trading the Tech sector during the dot-com era, and opened trading for hundreds of GS-led IPO’s such as Yahoo! and Tesla. He was pivotal in automating the stock trading business, first in the US, and then in Europe, and his responsibilities included the pricing and risk management of Goldman’s largest equities block trades throughout the 2010's. Brian also led teams that won GS’ annual Mortara Award for Innovation 3 times. He served on both the GS Firmwide Risk and Technology Risk Committees, Securities Division Executive Committee, and was co-Chair of the Senior Diversity Council.
He currently serves on the boards of IEX Exchange and the University of Florida Athletic Association, where he co-chairs Gator AccelerAItor, a sports analytics JV between the Athletic and AI departments. Brian is a minority investor in the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights hockey team, Serie A’s Venezia FC, and an advisor to Archer Aviation and Lost Tribe Esports. He is also co-founder of PHC Global, a company that has developed the first global biosecurity intelligence platform to provide enterprises a SaaS-enabled service for the management of bio-risks. Brian earned a BSBA from the University of Florida in 1992 and an MBA in Finance from Emory University in 1994.
