Brad Katsuyama

Brad Katsuyama is the CEO and co-founder of IEX Group, Inc. He oversees the long-term strategic direction of IEX and is active in the development of products and services that IEX builds for its clients.

Brad co-founded IEX in 2012 after a 12-year career at the Royal Bank of Canada where he held several leadership positions in risk trading and electronic trading.

Brad and his team founded IEX to disrupt the US markets by building a new stock exchange focused on the needs of investors and traders who have been harmed by the low-latency arms race in capital markets.

IEX's journey was chronicled in Michael Lewis' 2014 book, Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt and was a feature story on 60 Minutes.

For his work at IEX, Brad was honored as part of New York Times DealBook's inaugural class of Groundbreakers, as well as Fortune's 40 under 40, Crain's 40 under 40, and named EY Entrepreneur of the Year.

Brad earned his bachelor's degree in business from Wilfrid Laurier University. He graduated with the Alumni Goal Medal as the top student in the school of business and economics.
